Ms. Mervin Clois Stinson, age 94 of Scottsville, KY died Wednesday August 31, 2016 at The Medical Center of Scottsville in Scottsville, KY. The Allen County, KY native was the daughter of the late Kit and Mandy (Belcher) Stinson, wife of the late George Cordell Stinson, others that preceded her in death were, brothers, Arnold, Melvin, Carmen & Norman Stinson & sister-in-law, Loneda Stinson. She was a School Bus driver for Allen County, worked at the Dollar General Store and was a member of the Rough Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM, Saturday, September 3, 2016 at the Rough Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Elder Mike Carver and Brother Kyle Gammons will officiate, burial will follow in the Rough Hill Cemetery. Visitation Friday, September 2, 2016 from 12 to 8 PM & Saturday after 8 AM till leaving for the church at 10:30 at Fountain Run Funeral Home. Survivors include, daughters, Georgia Nowlin, Ruthie Harwood & husband Bobby all of Scottsville & Barbara Gregory of Gallatin, sister, Mary MacHaney & husband Frank of Fountain Run, sister-in-law, Calcia Stinson of Lafayette, 5 grandchildren, Eddie Nowlin, Keith & Kerry Harwood, Kellie Harwood & Sheri Leonard & 9 great-grandchildren.
