Lavonne (Ward) Norris

Lavonne (Ward) Norris, 81, of  Glasgow, KY, formerly of Cave City, KY passed away Friday, October 8th, peacefully, at Signature HC of Glasgow. 

Lavonne was born in Barren County, KY on November 13, 1939, daughter of the late Betty (Kinslow) and Ancel  Ward. She was married to the late James Bernard "J. B." Norris who passed December 10, 2020, she worked at Sorensen Mfg. for over 27 years and was of the Methodist faith.

Lavonne is survived by three sons, Steve Thomas (Rita), of Austin, KY;  Darrell Thomas, of Austin, KY; Jerry Thomas (Brenda), of Scottsville, KY; step daughter, Libby Hurst, of Buford, GA;  
three step sons Mike Norris, of IN;  Mark Norris, of IN;  Wes Norris, of IN;   
3 grandchildren, Carrie Leonard, Cameron Thomas & Brittany James & 8 great-grandchildren, brother, Douglas Ward, of Austin, KY & several step-grandchildren. 
 
Preceded in death by her Parents, husband & infant son, Byron Wood

Private family funeral services will be held Monday, October 11 at 1 PM at Fountain Run Funeral Home. Burial Concord Cemetery Austin, KY. 

Visitation for family only will be after 11 AM Monday until service time.
