Earlene (Short) Jordan

 

 

Clarice Earlene (Short) Jordan, 88, of Fountain Run, KY passed away Tuesday, December 7th, at TJ Samson Community Hospital.

 

Earlene was born on March 20, 1933, a daughter of the late Lillian May (Sturgeon) and Charles Matthew Short.

 

Earlene married Jack Burton Jordan on October 28, 1954. He preceded her in death on June 9, 1997.

 

Earlene  is  survived by two daughters, Doris Costello (Douglas), and Darlene Jordan, of Fountain Run, KY and a son, Jack "Buddy" Jordan (Pat), of Fountain Run, KY; five grandchildren, Teresa Dennis, Sherry Farmer, DeShaie Hart, Candie Troutt, and Jack Matthew Jordan; ten great grandchildren, Josh Brown, Braylen Hart, Alayna Hart, Gavin Jordan, Everette Jordan, Ryan Jordan, Michaela Troutt, KaShayela Ankenbauer & husband TJ, Madison Farmer and Brittany Melton; and one great-great grandchild.

 

Other than her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by five sisters, Lucille Duvall, Dixie Mae Short, Willia Mae Short, Mildred Cooksey, Ailene Pedigo; and three brothers, Charles Madison Short, Hurbert Short, and Woodrow Short. 

 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 10th at Fountain Run Funeral Home in Fountain Run, KY with burial to follow at Union Cemetery.

 

Visitation with the family is Thursday, 4-8 PM, and Friday, 8:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM at Fountain Run Funeral Home.
