O.J. Hurt

Otis J. “O.J.” Hurt, Jr., age 75, of Fountain Run, KY passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at The Medical Center at Bowling Green. He was born on March 14, 1944, a son of the late Otis Jewell and Dollie Mae (Wheeler) Hurt.

On March 2, 1967, he married Becky Graves, in Tompkinsville, KY.

O.J. was a Truck Driver for 45 years, and owner and operator of JLN Transportation. He served in the National Guard for 6 years. He was a member of Fountain Run Church of Christ.

O.J. is survived by his wife, Becky Hurt, of Fountain Run, KY; daughter, Jogeana Jones, and husband, Greg, of Fountain Run, KY; two sons, Lee Jay Hurt, and wife, Tanya, of Bowling Green, KY; and Nicholas Hurt, and wife, Amanda, of Adolphus, KY. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Kendall, and husband, Chad Rush; Kayla, and husband, Tanner Cain; Kortney, and husband, Jordan Keen; Sydney, and husband, Daniel Herrington; Brazleigh, Ellazyn and Maizlan Hurt. O.J. was expecting his first grandson, Rigzdon Hurt in April. Three great grandchildren survive, Dawson J. Rush, Bennett Keen, and Lenny Cain; brother-in-law, Joe Graves, of Austin, KY; and sister-in-law, Katie McMurtery, of Glasgow, KY.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 P.M. on Saturday, January 11, 2020, at the Fountain Run Church of Christ.  Burial will follow in Fountain Run Cemetery. Visitation is Friday, 2-8 P.M. at Fountain Run Funeral Home, and Saturday, 9:00 A.M. until service time at 1:00 P.M. at Fountain Run Church of Christ.
