Charles Russell, age 67 of Fountain Run, KY died Tuesday January 17, 2017 at the Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville, KY. The Monroe County, KY native was the son of the late Sidney Franklin and Emily Ova (Dismon) Russell, others that preceded him in death were, infant son, Johnny Mitchell Russell, brothers, James Creek, Billy Joe, Jimmy Lee, Elzie D., Irvin Ray, Thomas & Mortie Robin Russell sister, Ella Mae Jackson. He married Judy Simmons February 17, 1970 in Celina, TN. He worked at City of Fountain Run, local feed mills, KY Apparel and farmed and was a member of the Gloryland Gospel Church in Scottsville. Funeral services will be conducted 1 PM, Friday, January 20, 2017 at the Fountain Run Funeral Home, Brothers, Chris Calvert and Lynn Herrington will officiate, burial will follow in the Fountain Run Cemetery. Randall Strode, Joe Cornwell, Larry Shaw, Barry Koffman, Richard Hagan, Bobby Sprowl and Bobby Vibbert served as honorary pallbearers. David Phillips, Kenneth Jackson, Kenneth Russell, Chris, Mark, Jeremy & Ricky Simmons & Jr. Jenkins served as pallbearers. Survivors include, wife Judy Simmons Russell of Fountain Run, son, Shawn Russell and wife, Stephanie, daughters, Melissa Calvert and husband Chris all of Scottsville, Michelle Harlow of Fountain Run, brother, Carl Russell of Fountain Run, sister, Alma Lee Phillips and husband Annie Dee of Gamaliel, 4 grandchildren, Ashley Williams and husband Michael, Ethan Calvert and wife Elizabeth, Abbie Vibbert & Sarah Russell & 2 great-grandchildren, Rose & Riley Phillips.
